Summer Seminar and Conference
The project sponsors two summer seminars and conferences:
- Munich/Regensburg in 2017
- Innsbruck in 2018: summer seminar, conference
The 10-day Summer seminars will provide younger scholars with a survey of methods of analytic philosophy and theology as well as training in key topics in Analytic Theology. In addition the seminars aim to develop professional relationships among younger scholars in the interest of long-term collaboration and mutual intellectual support as their careers progress.
Each seminar will consist of Project Leaders from the host institutions, 15 participants, and outside leaders who will attend the seminar for a few days to present and discuss a particular topic.
Applicants must be enrolled as PhD students in philosophy or theology at an accredited degree-granting institution or be within 5 years of receiving their PhD. They will be chosen on the basis of demonstrated interest and on the likelihood of future productivity. Each selected seminar member will receive a stipend for travel and lodging costs.
The summer seminars would be timed to end with the start of the Analytic Theology Conferences. Summer seminar participants will be expected to attend the conferences.
The two Analytic Theology Conferences start after the end of the summer seminars. The conferences will bring together interested and informed scholars from both disciplines to collaboratively investigate topics of mutual interest.
Details on the summer seminars and conferences will follow.
