Despite its unique geographical location in the middle of the valley of the river INN, surrounded by the mountains up to 2300 m in height, Innsbruck has a very good connection and can be reached easily by various transportations systems such as train ( travel to Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof), car and even by plane (Innsbruck Airport, INN). The following descriptions will give you an update how to reach the CCB depending on how you arrive in Innsbruck.

Arriving by Car

There are two main highways that can be used to travel to Innsbruck by car. Depending on where you come from, you can drive via Munich and take the A8 to Salzburg before transitioning onto the A93 (later A12) to Innsbruck at the Intersection Rosenheim. Alternatively, you can drive via Füssen (A7) and then take the "Fernpassstraße" B179 and B189 via Obsteig and Mötz to the Austrian Autobahn A12 to Innsbruck. In both cases the Autobahn needs to be left at the exit "Innsbruck West - Zentrum". Take the "Egger-Lienz-Straße" to Zentrum till its crossing Holzhammerstraße. Turn left into Holzhammerstraße and drive till the next crossing Innrain. Take a right turn here. The CCB will be directly right hand sided now.

Beware of two things:

1) There are no direct parking spaces at the CCB. If you contact the organizing team that you need to drop of conference attendees, we can give you short time access to the parking garage, but unfortunately we cannot give you a parking permit for the whole conference. Exhibitors are excepted of course.

2) If you drive on an Austrian Autobahn, you need to buy a "Vignette" before entering Austria. These are either sold at the local gas stations before the border (Autobahnraststätten) or can be purchased online at the Asfinag. A 10-day vignette (costs: 9.90 Euro) will be the cheapest choice.

Arriving by Train

If you arrive by train, take the busline M (to Innsbruck Mentlbergsiedlung) from the main station and exit at "Chemieinstitut". The bus station is directly in front of the CCB. Other bus lines driving directly to the CCB are line C (to Innsbruck Sieglanger; drop off at Chemieinstitut) or the line T (to Völs EKZ Cyta Süd; drop off at Freiburger Brücke). For further information, please visit the Insbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe (IVB). Please note that bus tickets cannot be purchased inside the busses. Therefore, we highly recommend to also download the IVB-App on your Smartphone via which tickets can be purchased directly online.

Arriving by Plane

During the winter, the Airport Innsbruck has an excellent connection to a wide range of national and international airports and can be conveniently reached directly or via Vienna. Please check the Airport Homepage for more information, which direct connections are available. Once you have arrived at the airport, you can either take a taxi to the CCB (costs are roughly 12 Euros) or take the F bus to Neu-Rum Kaplanstraße. Leave the bus at Bachlechnerstraße/MED-El and take a right turn into Bachlechnerstraße. From there it is a 7 minute walk to the crossing Bachlechnerstraße / Innrain, where you turn left into Innrain. The CCB will be on the left side of Innrain.
