Inaugural lectures in January 2024

On 19 January 2024, the inaugural lecture of two renowned personalities was held in the festive setting of the Kaiser Leopold Hall of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Innsbruck: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Mag. Dipl.-Ing. Stéphanie Mittelbach-Hörmanseder, MIM (CEMS) andUniv.-Prof. Dr. Sven Hartlieb.

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Univ.-Prof. Dr Annette Ostendorf, who welcomed her guests with warm words of welcome. Professor Dr Sven Hartlieb then gave an impressive presentation on his specialist area, the final examination. His lecture culminated in a fascinating vision of future corporate social responsibility and a symbolic image of an auditor in a Superman costume, which made a lasting impression on the audience.

Afterwards, Prof. Dr Stéphanie Mittelbach-Hörmanseder, MIM (CEMS), shed light on the topic of changes in corporate reporting. Among other things, reports from Wienerberger were presented to better illustrate the changes over time.

The event, which was attended by family members, friends and long-time companions as well as the Vice Rector for Digitalisation and Sustainability, Dr Irene Häntschel-Erhart, was rounded off with a delicious buffet with small treats, drinks and a fine crémant.

With around 100 guests, the event came to a harmonious conclusion, impressively emphasising the importance and diversity of the academic community at the University of Innsbruck in a formal setting.
