Arboretum

An arboretum is a collection of planted trees and shrubs. In our gardens, it is located in the southwestern part and is home to native trees as well as trees that are rarely found here. Benches and seats along the paths invite you to rest and linger. The foundation for the trees in the park was laid during planting in the early years of the 20th century - our oldest trees date back to this time.

More recently, the prairie garden and the fern garden in the west of the park were planted in the green areas of the Arboretum. To ensure that our green spaces regain their biodiversity and provide a habitat for animals and plants, they are maintained in different ways. This mosaic of trees, shrubs, meadows and herbaceous beds changes its appearance throughout the seasons and offers something new to discover  every time you visit.
