Is the support free of charge for me?

Yes, all support services provided by the Disability Officer are free of charge for you as a student of the Leopold-Franzens University.

Will I have any disadvantages in the future if I use these support offers?

No. Under no circumstances. The information about who uses the services is not passed on to third parties.

Due to my impairment, I cannot work in groups or do math / give presentations at the blackboard in front of other students. Do I have to drop out of my studies now?

No. Together with the lecturers, we will find a solution that provides for alternative examinations. This could be, for example, that you do the math in the lecturer's office or hand in an individual assignment.

The agreed support services are not suitable for me or my impairment has changed and the support services are no longer suitable for me. What should I do?

In this case, please contact the Disability Officer by email: Behindertenbeauftragten. An appointment will then be made to discuss your new situation and clarify what changes need to be made so that you can continue your studies without barriers.

Can I "choose" which support service I want before each test?

In an initial individual meeting, we will work together to develop support services that are specifically tailored to you and your situation. After timely notification (2-3 weeks before the examination date! using the appropriate pdf or docx form) of an upcoming examination to the Disability Officer, the lecturer will be informed in writing of the modified examination modalities.

When and where do the examinations with a different examination mode take place?

After a timely notification (2-3 weeks before the examination date! with the corresponding form pdf or docx) to the Disability Officer, you will receive the exact examination time or the corresponding place where the examination will take place from the lecturers.

For which examinations can I take advantage of the support measures?

Modified examination modalities can be used for all examinations (written, oral, virtual, face-to-face).
