OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software)
OBS is a free program that allows you to record and livestream personalized videos. This program is very comprehensive, which is why we recommend allowing time for learning it before the first use.

OBS Studio on public PCs at the University of Innsbruck
Starting from the winter semester 2021/2022, OBS Studio is installed on all publicly managed seminar room and user room PCs at the University of Innsbruck. You only need to set up the program once on a public PC, and then your personal settings will be transferred to other public PCs.
A video introduction to the software is available on the German version of this site.
Information on Livestreaming with OBS
If you want to livestream with OBS, please contact the AV team of the Digital Media and Learning Technologies department at av-studio@uibk.ac.at.
You will then receive all the settings that you should make in OBS and a streaming URL that can be accessed and tested. Please do not share this link directly with the students.
Integrating the livestream in OpenOlat
Please send the link to the desired OpenOlat course and the dates on which the stream is to take place to av-studio@uibk.ac.at with enough time to spare until the livestream is to be online. We will set up the livestream so that it can be accessed directly via OpenOlat at the specified times.
