Video Conferencing between Lecture Halls
A video conference is the best way to work with students in other lecture halls, for example, in studies with external locations. In the video conference, both audio and video are transmitted in both directions, allowing students at the remote location to also ask questions, participate in the discussion, and collaborate.
Video conferencing facilities must be installed in the rooms. Information about which rooms at the University of Innsbruck are equipped with this technology can be found here. Please note that there are different equipment variants of the conferencing facilities depending on the room (single point or multipoint). Multipoint allows you to conduct a video conference with multiple lecture halls simultaneously.
Requirements for transmitting your lecture:
Once you have found rooms, you can start a session at any time, provided that the facilities are turned on in all rooms.
- Mark the lecture in VIS:online with an "eLearning component".
-
Don't forget to use a microphone, otherwise the audio will not be transmitted. In addition to the lectern microphone, you will find a headset and a handheld microphone in the drawer to the left of the lectern.
An instruction video can be found on the German version of this site.
