LTI 1.3

Overview

If you decide to configure the LTI 1.3 integration yourself, you must exchange the integration details with the LTI 1.3 tool provider (the external service provider). This is different to setting up an LTI 1.1 integration, where you only need to obtain the login details from the LTI 1.1 tool provider.

Please note: If the LTI 1.3 tool provider requires you to activate Shared Deployment and/or Deep Linking in your integration, please contact the ZID Service Desk at zid-service@uibk.ac.at.

The following LTI 1.3 Tools are present in OpenOlat:

  • Artemis (Link)
  • iMooX (Link)
  • JoVE Video (Link)
  • MATLAB Grader (Link)

Important steps

  1. Follow the steps in the HelpCard 34-020.
  2. Configure the following parameters:
    • URL
    • Client ID
    • Deployment ID
    • Public key type
    • Public key
    • URL of the authentication request
    • Redirect URI(s)
  3. For Display, select Open new window.
  4. For Height display area and Width display area, select Automatic.
  5. All other settings are optional:
    • Start content automatically
    • Suppress "Data transfer" consent
    • Transfer first name/last name
    • Transfer e-mail address
    • Additional attributes
    • OpenOlat roles
    • Show all information sent at startup (Debug): If this option is selected, the information sent is displayed to the users. This includes, for example, the user ID and the course name.
    • Transfer points
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Click on the red X in the top right-hand corner to close the course editor. To publish the change, select the option Yes, automatically (for details on publishing, see HelpCard 10-020). All changes have now been applied in the course view that opens.
