Workspace
You can access the workspace by clicking on Search in the top left-hand corner of the start page and switching to Workspace. In the workspace, all your content is displayed in a structure tree and you can manage it there.
You can find the folders you have created under My content. The Bilder (Images), Dokumente (Documents) and Inbox folders are available by default. However, you can also rename or delete them. Click on the three-dot menu to the right of the folder to display a list of options and actions that apply to the entire folder. Double-click on the folder to open it and view the files and materials it contains. By clicking on the three-dot menu next to the file, you will find the same options and actions for the material as in the Search environment.
You can add a new material or a new folder by clicking on the + New button at the top left of the search field. You can also upload multiple materials by dragging and dropping them from your work device into the desired folder.
You can customise the folder and file lists by clicking on the cogwheel icon at the top right.
You can also see the following groupings in the structure tree on the left:
- Shared content: Folders that have been created by an administrator for group collaboration.
- Shared by me: Content to which you have invited other individuals or groups who have an OER Repositorium account.
- Shared with me: Content which you have been invited to by other users.
- Assigned to me: Content for which you are responsible in a process according to the workflow.
- Recycle: Deleted folders and content are moved to the recycle bin. There they can be either restored or permanently deleted.
Collections
You can access the workspace by clicking on Search environment at the top left of the homepage and then switching to Collections . Collections represent related materials. Here you can see your own created collections, collections to which you have been invited, editorially managed collections and all publicly available collections.
To create a new collection, click on the My tab and then on the Add collection field. A new window will open. Select whether you want to create a private collection or a collaborative collection.
In the next step, give the collection a title and describe what the collection is about. If desired, you can change the author 's name by clicking on the pencil icon next to the author. Optionally, select a color and a collection image. Finally, click on save. If you have selected a collaborative collection, you will be asked at this point to define the authorisations by inviting persons or groups. Save your entries.
You are now in the collection view. You can see the collection information on the left-hand side and can customise it using the pencil icon. You can delete collections or share private collections with the three-dot symbol. You have the following options in the collection itself:
- Add subcollection: You can generate subcollections for your collections. This helps to further structure the materials.
- Search material: This option takes you to the search environment where you can also select external materials that you would like to add to your collection. Tick the relevant materials by clicking on the white square in the top right-hand corner of the relevant material(s) and then click on the Add to collection button on top of the page. The selected materials are now in your collection.
- Add material: Here you can upload a new material that will be added directly to the collection. You can find out more about the process at Upload materials.
Click on My at the top left of the crumb navigation to return to the Collections main page.
