Digital Prüfen und Bewerben

Digital testing & evaluation

The Central IT Service, Digital Media and Learning Technologies Department provides the following systems for "digital examinations":

At the Institute of Statistics the R/Exams system is being developed, mainly by Prof Dr Achim Zeileis.

  • R/exams (http://www.r-exams.org/) is a software package designed to support lecturers in setting up sufficient examination materials with minor or major random variations in courses with many participants. As protection against cheating attempts in written exams or for the provision of individualised online quizzes or simply to use different versions of tasks in different exercise groups or similar. It allows its users to create tasks in simple text files that can optionally contain different types of random selection.

When planning your digital examinations, please also note the guidelines for oral and written examinations using electronic communication (484. 485.) Newsletter 34th edition (issued on 01.10.2022, updated on 09.05.2023)

IBK-specific details, instructions for use, didactic suggestions and further tips on the various examination systems can be found in the open self-study course eAssessment@UIBK in OpenOlat.
