Information about the repository:
The University of Innsbruck operates the Repository for open educational materials (OER) in the spirit of the OER policy as a central platform for the publication and exchange of freely accessible teaching and learning materials. The repository is based on the open-source software edu-sharing and enables teachers and students to publish, search and reuse materials such as lecture notes, exercises, videos, presentations and other digital resources.
The materials in the repository are published under free licences that allow others to use, share and adapt the content. Materials published in the repository can receive a DOI and are also available in other aggregators for open educational resources (currently: Austrian aggregator Oerhub and German search index oersi) once published. The aim is to promote open educational materials and facilitate access to knowledge and education.
The repository offers a variety of functions that facilitate the exchange and dissemination of educational materials. For example, it supports the search and filtering of materials according to various criteria such as topic, subject area or language and enables all members of the university to publish their own materials.
The repository for open educational materials is thus a contribution by the University of Innsbruck to the promotion of open education and open educational resources and furthers the achievement of the sustainability goal "High-quality education". It facilitates access to knowledge and education and promotes collaboration and exchange between teachers and students across the boundaries of departments and institutions.
