The objective of this module is to give students an overview of the mechanisms and consequences of global changes, notably climate change, on the structure and functioning of ecosystems and any resulting feedback processes. In terms of topics the module is split into three parts: (i) basics, (ii) effects on terrestrial ecosystems, and (iii) effects on aquatic ecosystems. The lectures are closely blended with the seminar, in the frame of which students present topical scientific studies on topics covered in the lectures. Lectures and seminar presentations are held in English.
