The Ecological Colloquium is the seminar series of the Institute of Ecology and takes place during the lecture period, Monday 17:00-18:00 at one of the two locations of the Institute (Technikerstraße 25 or Sternwartestraße 15), sometimes also online.

The seminar lectures are usually given by external speakers, often from abroad, on current scientific or socio-politically relevant ecological issues. The language of the lectures is usually English. In addition to faculty members and external audiences, the Ecological Colloquium is also attended by students on the Ecology & Biodiversity Master's programme .
