I am an ecologist. I am committed to scientific research, which strives for the preservation and the sustainable utilisation of natural resources, and the respect of the cultural and natural heritage.
Especially in the dynamic and fragile context of the European Alps, I believe in the importance to mitigate the detrimental effects of the anthropogenic pressures to continue to benefit from the essential ecosystem services provided by nature. For this reason, I am studying the biodiversity and density of wild pollinators in apple orchards found in landscapes characterised by a high or low presence of natural habitats
Research interests
- The effects of anthropogenic pressures on wild pollinators
- Ecosystem services provided by unmanaged bees
- Plants´ response to abiotic stresses
- Biodiversity Monitoring
- Ecological Intensification
