In its article on the annual conference of the Verein für Socialpolitik in Regensburg (24-27.9.2023), the ZEIT reported in detail on the presentation of our PhD student Katia Gallegos Torres from the University of Innsbruck. She gave a presentation on "Are refugees taking jobs away from native workers?" ("Nehmen Flüchtlinge den einheimischen Arbeitnehmern die Jobs weg?") and explores the question of how employment at home has evolved as a result of the 2015 refugee crisis. Katia Gallegos Torres is a research fellow at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim and a PhD student at the University of Innsbruck since October 2020.
