Project content
In the Solar Cooling Monitor project, 2 systems with solar thermal cooling via thermal solar collectors and absorption chillers are measured in great detail (following the Level 3 measurement concept of IEA SHC Task 38). The electricity consumption of the entire periphery is also recorded and the electrical performance figures for the entire system are calculated. In spring and early summer 2010, conversion measures were proposed for both plants and partially implemented by the operators. This led to a significant increase in efficiency. Dynamic simulation models were set up for both plants and calibrated on the basis of measurements. The results were presented at several conferences and workshops.
