Dear student,

we are pleased that you have chosen Innsbruck as your place of study! Many Olympic champions, four Nobel Prize winners so far (recently a fifth) and countless graduates in leading positions in business, science, technology, politics and society - the University of Innsbruck is the place that develops, promotes and brings out talent. Innsbruck and Tyrol also offer a wide range of opportunities to experience nature and culture and to engage in sporting activities alongside your studies.

After school, a new phase of your life now awaits you, and Innsbruck is a good place to start it. In the coming years, you will be given the opportunities in your respective field of study to acquire the necessary knowledge to achieve your personal goals.

Our common goal at the University of Innsbruck is to provide you with the best possible professional and personal preparation for the working world, because a university degree is a very good starting position for a successful career start. Our staff in research, teaching and administration will be happy to support you on your way.

In this context, we would like to draw your attention to our international networks and partnerships right from the start. Of particular interest here is our university's membership in the European university network Aurora. Here you can gain international experience and also play an active role in shaping it!

However, the study programme or the period of study is also an important part of personality development. On the one hand, you learn how to solve complex tasks and take on responsibility, but on the other hand, studying, doing sports and spending your free time together also creates friendships and networks that often last a lifetime.

As a first step into this new phase of your life and to welcome you to Innsbruck and to our university, we cordially invite you to the "Student Welcome Party" of the University of Innsbruck together with the City of Innsbruck.

The Student Welcome Party of the University of Innsbruck will take place
