Open Science
Open Science is a “collaborative culture enabled by technology that empowers the open sharing of data, information, and knowledge within the scientific community and the wider public to accelerate scientific research and understanding.”
(siehe Ramachandran, Rahul, Kaylin Bugbee, und Kevin Murphy. 2021. „From Open Data to Open Science“. Earth and Space Science 8 (5): e2020EA001562. https://doi.org/10.1029/2020EA001562.)
The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences sees Open Science as a central component of modern social science research. We therefore support a research culture that promotes the transparency of research processes and the openness of research results. This should not only accelerate research processes and improve the quality of scientific findings. With Open Science, the Faculty also aims to make this research available to a broader public and open to discussion in the spirit of the Third Mission.
