The university complex in which the Institute of Geography is located is situated in the center of Innsbruck near the old town about five minutes walk from the city center on the Inn River. The premises of the Institute are located on the 6th and 7th floor of the Bruno-Sander-Haus, Innrain 52f, near the central building of the University.

Arrival by train / bus

By public transport, you can get from the main station without changing streetcars by taking streetcar line 5 (direction Technik West), bus lines F (direction Flughafen) and R (direction Rehgasse) to the stop Klinik (Universität). Lines 2, H, and K also stop at this stop. Alternatively, it is a 1.5 km walk from the main train station through the city center. Arrival by car

Via the highway exit Innsbruck West, the Egger-Lienz-Straße and further the Innerkofler-Straße you reach the university. The university's own parking lot has barriers (for employees) and there is hardly any street parking. However, there is an underground parking lot and a multi-storey parking lot at the market square.
