November 2022 - The ACWR team welcomes a new team member

A new researcher will join the ACWR research group as a PhD student in the project "KIDZ-PAZNOW'n". Lena will apply and further develop the WRF-Hydro model to assess water-related natural hazards in Paznaun Valley (Tyrol, Austria) - we are looking foreward to working with you here in Innsbruck starting in the new year 2023!

June 2022 - Project "KIDZ-PAZNOW'n" approved

The new project "KIDZ-PAZNOW'n" designed to strengthen resilience with respect to climate change and water-realted haszards in the Austrian Paznaun Valley has been appoved for funding by the Austrian Academy of Sciences. To reach the defined goals of increased resilience and sustainable development in Paznaun Valley, we follow an inter- and transdisciplinary research approach by i) linking the disciplines of Alpine Climate and Water Research (University of Innsbruck), Behavioural Medicine (Medical University of Innsbruck), and Education for Sustainable Development (University of Innsbruck) as well as ii) science and society in the framework of a three-year research-education-collaboration.

August 2020 - Nearly one year of observations at station Proviantdepot

Almost one year has past by since the installation of our new climate and snow monitoring station "Proviantdepot" in the Rofental (Tyrol, Austria) and we are happy to report that the station has reliably recorded data since its installation in September 2019. The data is in the process of quality checking and publication on Pangaea and will be provided for download on this page shortly. You can check the status of its publication here:
