The Research Platform

 

The Research Platform Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Innsbruck (CGI) is an inter- and transdisciplinary research association at the University of Innsbruck, which deepens the cooperation of scientists and lecturers in the field of Women´s, Gender, Feminist and Queer Studies regionally, nationally and transnationally. In addition it seeks to strengthen international research contacts and cooperations to prodive public discussions of scientific research results. The more than 100 members of the research platform are located in their respective departments, faculties and non-university associations and institutions.

The aim of the Research Platform is:
  • to consolidate Women´s, Gender, Feminist and Queer Studies at the University of Innsbruck by intensifying networks and inter- and transdisciplinary cooperations,
  • to enhance the links to international research,
  • to strengthen Women´s, Gender, Feminist and Queer Studies through cooperations with non-university actors and organisations,
  • and to disseminate research findings to the public, politics and society in order to contribute to the reduction of intersectional inequalities.
