Open Positions
3-year postdoctoral fellow position at the University of Innsbruck to study B cell physiology
Start date/duration:
- as soon as possible
- for 3 years
Extent of employment: 40 hours per week
Context
In the ”humoral immunity” group at the IBA institute of the University of Innsbruck, we are investigating the mechanisms controlling typical B cell development and function in young adult organisms as well as the changes in the latter processes leading to the reshaping of B cell physiology with age.
Project/offer
In the context of an accepted competitive funding, you will be studying the contribution of miRNA-mediated regulation of protein synthesis to B cell responses in mice. The investigations will be carried out employing state-of-the-art tools, including conditional gene targeting, multi-color flow cytometry and cell sorting, present at the IBA, a major aging research center in Austria. Progress will be discussed regularly at internal meetings as well as publicized at conferences and in articles. You will also participate in teaching and mentoring students. You will be part of a multidisciplinary institute, at the heart of the Alps, fostering interactions with other groups notably investigating cell metabolism and human immune cells. A start date from as early as mid of April 2025 is possible.
The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 4.933 per month (14 times).
We are looking forward to receiving your online application by 09.04.2025 via the career portal.
