Neuer Aurora Call für gemeinsame Forschungsaktivitäten

New Aurora Call for Joint Research Activities

The Aurora Alliance has launched the second "Call for Incentive Research Collaboration" to strengthen research collaboration among member universities. This call aims to support joint research projects that align with Aurora's values and thematic priorities.

The Aurora Call for Incentive and Collaborative Research Projects was launched as part of the Aurora 2030 program. The goal of this annual call is to provide seed funding to both early-career and established researchers, enabling them to strengthen research collaboration within the Aurora Alliance.

The current call includes the following three eligible funding opportunities:

  • Exploratory and Collaborative Research Projects: Funding for specific research activities aimed at expanding knowledge in particular fields and preparing larger joint projects or grant applications. Maximum funding: €25,000.
  • Thematic Schools: Support for disciplinary winter or summer schools organized by early-career researchers on specific research topics for short durations (1 to 2 weeks). Maximum funding: €20,000.
  • Short-term Research Secondments for Early-stage Researchers: Facilitation of short-term mobilities (up to 3 months) for master's students, doctoral candidates, and postdocs at research institutions of an Aurora partner university.

Interested researchers from Universität Innsbruck are invited to submit their project proposals by March 28, 2025, 12:00 PM CET. Further information on the application process and the required application forms are available on the official Aurora website. In the first call of 2024, seven innovative projects were selected, including four involving Universität Innsbruck.
