Sum­mer School 2025 at Univer­sité Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC)

From June 2nd to 13th, UPEC is hosting its second Aurora Summer School at the AEI International School. Students from UPEC and the Aurora universities will acquire practical and theorical skills about innovation, social foresight and futures literacy.

Are you a third-year bachelor student ready to make a real impact? Don't miss this unique opportunity to dive into the dynamic worlds of Societal Innovation and Futures Studies! An intensive two-week program allows you to earn 6 ECTS credits while exploring innovative perspectives and groundbreaking tools.

The program integrates Sustainable Development Goals, giving you a powerful lens to address global challenges.
 

Why Participate?

Week 1: Discover the Foundations of Futures Studies with Professor Felipe Koch. Immerse yourself in a Futures Literacy Lab, master facilitation techniques, and explore Social and Strategic Foresight.

Week 2: Learn from renowned lecturers : Riel Miller, former head of Futures Literacy at UNESCO, Ramon Rispoli, from University of Naples, Rocco Scolozzi, from University of Trento, Mayra Fonseca, from University of Brasilia, Fabio Scarano, curator of Rio's Museum of Tomorrow, Philippe Frouté and Felipe Koch from UPEC

International Conference: On the final day, attend our International Conference on Decision Making under Deep Uncertainty. Hear from global experts debating societal transformations and crisis responses.

Application and Nomination Procedure

1. For Universiät Innsbruck students, the application deadline is 21 March, 2025.
2.  Students will be nominated by Universität Innsbruck - Aurora Office Innsbruck to participate in this course. There are 2 spots available for the mobility funding. Two selected Aurora students receive a tuition fee waiver. Additional costs, such as accommodation and travel, will be covered by the Aurora Mobility Grant. Furthermore, for Aurora Students sandwich lunches and cultural activities will be free of charge.
3. To apply, each student is required to submit a motivation letter (1-2 A4 pages) and provide an updated CV and Bachelor Transcript of Record for the three years via aurora-mobility@uibk.ac.at. The motivation letter must be submitted by 21 March 2025. After this date, no applications will be accepted. 
4. Nominated students will be submitted by Aurora Office UIBK via aeisummerschool@u-pec.fr by 24 March, 2025.
5. Decisions on applications will be sent by 31 March, 2025.
