The Long Night of Research takes place every two years across Austria. In all nine federal states, you can experience science and research up close with free admission, exchange ideas with researchers and discover what otherwise often remains hidden: exciting, surprising, amazing things!
Tesla coil exhibition
The power electronics research station aims to show how important this discipline is for the modern technological revolution. We want to motivate young people to take an interest in power electronics. Our experiment combines the Tesla coil, which was developed in the 1880s as the first power converter, with state-of-the-art power electronics.
