About

Michael Bahn's research interests cover plant, soil and ecosystem processes, including biogeochemical cycles, carbon dynamics and their interactions with water and nutrient cycles, as well as global change and greenhouse gas emissions. Bahn is involved in a large number of national and international projects and is active as an editor and reviewer for numerous scientific journals. Michael Bahn also publishes regularly in internationally renowned journals. The researcher often works with field experiments at a wide variety of locations in order to understand the mechanisms underlying the reactions of ecosystems to environmental changes. Michael Bahn was part of the scientific team working on the first Austrian Citizens' Climate Council in 2022.
