About
Robert Hofmann habilitated in geotechnical engineering at the TU Wien in 2011 and has been a professor at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering of the Institute of Infrastructure at the University of Innsbruck since July 2018. Hofmann is also an expert and voting member of the Austrian Dam Commission. His research interests lie in rockfall protection, protective structures against natural hazards, mass movements, flood protection levees or erosion in dam construction, especially taking into account the extreme weather events that are expected to increase due to climate change.
