Ulrich Remus is a full Professor and Head of the Department of Information Systems at the Department of Information Systems, Production and Logistics Management at the University of Innsbruck. There he coordinates the research area "Digital Society". Furthermore, he is a lead author of the Austrian Climate Report (AAR2) in the topic area "Digitalization in the Circular Economy". His research focuses on IT project management, algorithmic management, the future of work, and negative impacts of information systems on individuals and society.

About
Ulrich Remus studied Information Systems in Bamberg, and worked as IT consultant in the field of process management and data warehousing before completing his doctorate and habilitation in IT management. After several academic stopovers, including in New Zealand, he has been a professor of Information Systems at the University of Innsbruck since 2012. His current research focuses on the implications of information systems on individuals and society, e.g. problematic use of smartphones, hyper connectivity, algorithmic control in gig platforms, and green IT.
Ulrich Remus is a lead author of the 2nd Austrian Assessment Report on Climate Change, which will be prepared by 120 scientists by 2025. In this report, he focuses on the impact of using Information and Communication Technologies in the context of climate change.
