Wolfgang Streicher is Professor for Energy Efficient Building with special consideration of the use of renewable energies as well as coordinator of Unit of Energy Efficient Building at the University of Innsbruck. His research interests are in the field of energy efficient buildings and building technology, renewable energies and energy scenarios. He is co-author of the Austrian Climate Report (AAR2), which is currently being prepared.

About
Wolfgang Streicher was and is involved in a variety of national and international research projects on passive and active thermal solar energy use, thermal building and system simulation and optimization, multifunctional facades, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, biomass boilers, district heating, lighting of buildings and economic/ecological assessment and potentials of renewable energy sources and energy scenarios. From 2020 -2023, he was also Vice Rector for Infrastructure at the University of Innsbruck, in which capacity he led the GHG balancing of the university and the creation of a sustainability strategy.
