They possess problem-solving skills based on scientific theories and methods and key competences in additional areas, such as teamwork, communication and presentation.
The Bachelor's Programme Management and Economics provides broad fundamental training in business administration and economics, offering graduates a first professional degree and qualifications for employment. It serves as academic preparation for the social and economic sciences and for occupational activities requiring the application of scientific knowledge and methods. The main emphasis of the degree programme is on conveying the theories, methods and instruments of business administration and economics.
The modules of the Bachelor's Programme Management and Economics promote both subject-specific and extracurricular social competences. The goal of the bachelor's programme is to provide graduates problem-solving skills based on scientific theories and methods. These problem-solving skills enable graduates to treat relevant issues on a sound scientific and practically-oriented basis. As academically trained experts in the field of economic sciences, graduates possess a wide range of qualifications that can be applied in various occupational fields.
The hallmark of the Bachelor's Programme Management and Economics is its broad fundamental training, imparting skills that support life-long learning. In this respect, the program differs substantially from many other regional and national bachelor's programmes dealing with economics. Instead of specialization in the early semesters, the programme focuses on comprehensive methodological and problem-solving competences, independent and responsible working practices, and critical treatment of acquired knowledge.
The university degree bachelor of science allows graduates to pursue various occupational activities and career opportunities in commerce, public administration, business associations and chambers, interest groups and in the media.
Moreover, the degree serves as the basis for master's degree studies.
