SLS (Study Performance Sport) -
Promoting top-class sport at the University of Innsbruck
Achieving top sporting performance requires a great deal of time and personal effort on the part of the athletes. High-performance sport is performed at a time in life when the foundations for a later professional career are being laid.
The University of Innsbruck therefore supports selected athletes to enable them to combine their studies and top-class sport at the same time. In cooperation with the national Austrian institution for dual careers, the KADA association, the SLS (Studium Leistung Sport) study programme was established in 2015. SLS supports students at the University of Innsbruck in reconciling their commitment to high-performance sport with their academic education within the organisational, financial and legal framework.
