Purpose
The purpose is to maintain contact with graduates by processing personal data in order to invite them to join the Alumni-Network or giving them the opportunity to make use of the Career-Service's offers.

Legal Basis
The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lt. e GDPR in conjunction with § 3 Z 10 UG 2002. Thereby, the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest and assigned to the University by the legislator.

1.2 Alumni – Portraits
Purpose
Purpose of the processing is the presentation of interesting life stories of graduates on our Webseite. In order for us to be able to present your life story (including your photo) on our website, it is necessary to process the personal data you provide in the respective form. You only need to answer the questions that are of particular interest to you.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the purpose described above is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

As part of our Alumni-Service, our graduates can participate in various events like the Homecoming-Days, regular’s tables, guided tours, etc. For this purpose, it is necessary to process the personal data you provide through the respective registration form for the event. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk in the registration form. All further information is given voluntarily, yet helps us to improve our offers for you.

Purpose
As part of the Career Service, students can participate in various services to make it easier for them to enter the job market. Services such as application workshops, CV checks, Pan-European Seal programmes, FEMtech, internships, participation in student organizations, and many more are designed to expand your opportunities. For this purpose, it is necessary to process the personal data provided through the respective registration form for the service. All further information is given voluntarily, yet helps us to improve our services for you.

Legal basis for the processing of the personal data in the context of our events is the fulfilment of the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lt. b GDPR). Our services are generally based on a free contractual relationship.
Should students provide any further data in addition to the mandatory fields – marked with an asterisk – the processing is based on their consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lt. a DSGVO).

2.2 Offers for employers (employer portal)
Purpose
As part of the Career Service, we offer employers the opportunity to participate in the online information and networking platform (employer portal). You can also make use of various services in the employer portal (e.g., placing advertisements, registering for events, etc.).
For this purpose, it is necessary to process the personal data you provide regarding your company or employee through the respective registration form for the service.

Legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the operation of the employer portal and as part of our services, is the fulfilment of the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lt. b GDPR).

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties. Although, it might be necessary to transfer certain personal data to business partners as part of the service offered.

3.1 Maintaining / Administration of Contact with Sponsors
Purpose
The Förderkreis of the University of Innsbruck 1669 will use the data you provide in your declaration of membership/registration and for public relations purposes (name, address, contact details, date of birth; matriculation number if applicable) for admission and administration in the Förderkreis and to inform you about relevant events and news in connection with the Förderkreis, and the University.
We use the data provided by you personally (logos, texts, statements, portrait and other photos) for public relations work (e.g., presentation in the annual report and at the annual birthday party; presentation on the website, personal portraits in our reports and other print and online social media, etc.), and for sending birthday greetings.
Legal Basis
legal basis for the processing is the fulfilment of the declaration of support or donation pledge concluded with you as well as the consent you have given for the use of the photos and descriptions you have provided for our public relations work.
Should the data not have been collected from you personally, the data originates from the network of the Förderkreis.

It may be necessary to forward certain personal data to business partners for organisational reasons as part of the service offered. These include
- Graphic or communication agencies/print shops/publishers in the course of producing publications, newspaper inserts or advertisements
- Event organizers in the course of events
- Platforms for our social- and print-media channels

The data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective purpose or within the scope of statutory retention periods, as well as for evidence purposes to safeguard our claims.
Photos/videos are stored for as long as they are necessary for the purpose. If there are no legal retention periods to the contrary, we will delete them once the purpose has been fulfilled.
3.2 Photo and video recordings in the context of events organised by the Förderkreis 1669
As part of events, photos and videos may be taken for documentation purposes. We are primarily concerned with documenting the event; identifying individual persons is not a primary objective. For documentation purposes, the photos/videos taken may also be published on the Internet - in particular on our homepage, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
The data from photo and video recordings at events, i.e. both the production and publication of the photos/videos, is based on our overriding legitimate interest in documenting the event. Not least because of the publicity of the University of Innsbruck, it is necessary for us to document our activities. You are under no obligation to be photographed or recorded. If you do not agree to being photographed or published, please inform the photographer on site immediately or contact us.
3.3 Information on subsequent events
The data you provide when registering for events or newsletters (e-mail, address, location data) will be processed in order to inform you about activities, events, information and announcements in connection with the respective services of the University of Innsbruck. Any additional data provided on a voluntary basis (e.g., address and location data) will only be used anonymously for statistical purposes.

The processing takes place via a registration form in which personal data is entered and processed for the respective service. This information helps to improve the services offered by the faculties, institutes and organisational units for you.

Purpose
You can subscribe to free newsletters (alumni newsletter, career newsletter, support group newsletter) on our website. This data processing is used to send information about the university and the associated service units, e.g., further education, events at the university, information from the various faculties.
We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending newsletters. This means that we will only send you the newsletter if you first confirm your registration via a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose using a link contained therein. This is to ensure that only you, as the owner of the e-mail address provided, can register for the newsletter. Your confirmation must be made promptly after receipt of the confirmation e-mail, otherwise your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database.
You can subscribe to free newsletters (alumni newsletter, career newsletter, support group newsletter) on our website. This data processing is used to send out information about the university and the associated service units, e.g. further education, events at the university, information from the various faculties.

Your personal data collected upon newsletter registration will only be stored for as long as you subscribe for the newsletter. Your data will be deleted at the latest should you exercise your Right of Objection.

- is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller, or
- is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of personal data (in particular if you are a child), and
- the controller cannot demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing does not serve the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
The right to object may also be exercised if the processing is for direct marketing purposes.
Complaint
Should you be under the impression that the processing of your personal data violates the data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, please contact us immediately.
