    1. Acquisition of third-party funds

    Acquisition of an independent research project as project leader (or sub-project leader in consortia) in competitive funding programmes with a peer-review selection process (e.g. FWF, FFG, EU Framework Programme, or equivalent after consultation with the Advisory Board). The project must have a duration of at least two years and a funding volume of at least 100,000 euros for the University of Innsbruck.

    • It is recommended that the first application is submitted by the end of the second QV year at the latest.
    • If an application is approved, the objective is fulfilled.
    • In the event of rejection, at least one further submission or resubmission is expected.
    • At the end of the qualification period, in addition to approval, the positive assessment and evaluation of an application above the approvable threshold (or C3 rejection by the FWF) is also counted as target achievement. If the funding programme does not provide for such an evaluation (positive assessment), the Advisory Board decides on the achievement of objectives based on the results of the peer review selection procedure.
