Call for projects related to (mountain) agriculture
Call for Projects 2025
The Research Center for Mountain Agriculture launches an annual “Call of Projects” which is funded by the Province of Tyrol.
Individual projects are funded with a maximum of 5,000 euros. Preference is given to applications from early career researchers and those that serve as preliminary projects for larger projects or that aim to expand an existing project (with a recognisable added value). Particularly innovative applications from early career researchers can be funded with more than 5,000 euros.
Projects at the University of Innsbruck that deal with agricultural topics can be submitted.
The allocation of funding is linked to the following obligations:
- Start of the subsidised project within 3 months of the allocation of funds, otherwise the subsidy must be reimbursed. The funding can be used until the end of the year in which the grant is awarded. All subsidies that have not been used within this period must be refunded to the subsidising SAP account assignment.
- A short final report on the progress and results of the subsidised project in accordance with the specifications of the FZ Berglandwirtschaft. After project completion or by 15 January 2026 at the latest, submission of a detailed final statement by means of an SAP statement signed by the project management.
- After completion of the project, transfer of the material resources that were purchased with the granted funding amount (equipment, books, etc.) to the ownership of the University of Innsbruck - for this purpose, a report must be submitted as third-party inventory with the asset registration sheet within 1 month after completion of the project.
- Short presentation of the project at the annual meeting of the Mountain Agriculture Research Centre which will be held at the end of January/beginning of February 2026. If possible, presentation of research results at scientific conferences are desired. In addition, it is desired that the findings from the funded research project are also made accessible outside the scientific community.
- Applicants commit themselves to cite the Mountain Agriculture Research Unit and the “Land Tirol” as a funder in all documents and publications or to mention the funding from the Mountain Agriculture Research Unit and the “Land Tirol” accordingly in publications.
- Assignment of the scientific achievements resulting from the funded project (e.g. publications, conference contributions, academic theses) to the Mountain Agriculture Research Unit in the research database of the University of Innsbruck.
In the event of non-compliance with these conditions, the funding amount granted must be refunded.
Please have the application entered in the project database at the responsible project database officer of your institute and upload all documents individually as .pdf files. Please send the project database number as an application by e-mail no later than
Friday, 14 March 2025
to forschungsfoerderung@uibk.ac.at.
