Buddy/mentoring system

The buddy/mentoring system at Romance Studies can be used by students of the Bachelor's degree programmes Spanish/Italian/French as well as by teacher training students of those subjects. We look forward to meeting you!
The Buddy Programme is primarily aimed at students of lower semesters, but can be used by students of all semesters. The aim is to offer targeted support and guidance for all questions, concerns or problems related to studying - from student to student. Since subject-related and teaching-related topics often overlap, our buddy Hannah Götsch as well as the StV Lehramt Romanistik can be contacted with questions.
The mentoring programme is primarily aimed at students in higher semesters. Mentors are teachers at the Institute of Romance Studies who are available as contact persons and additional support for students in the advanced phase of their studies.
What are the tasks of a mentor?
- Provide regular support and assistance with student concerns
- Provide insight into current research
- Provide information on career opportunities after graduation
- Provide referrals to other contacts as needed
- Pass on life and professional experience to students
