Helmut Ritsch (M, born 1962) is professor for Theoretical Physics at the University of Innsbruck. His publication track record features 200+ publications with ~10000 citations (WoS) with an h-Index of 47 (WoS). In his career he has trained more than 25 PhD students and supervised over 20 Postdocs from peer-reviewed Austrian, European and international research grants. Previous research directions particularly relevant for CAPTAS include self-learning optimal light collection systems, super-radiant optical atomic clocks as well as cavity enhanced quantum simulation and simulated annealing.
