Buddy/ Mentoring System Engineering Sciences
We would like to welcome you to the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Innsbruck. We are delighted that you have decided to study a technical degree programme. For the vast majority of you, coming to university will involve major changes. For many of you, it will certainly also mean moving to a new city and a new social environment. Together with our students and teaching staff, we would like to help make this transition easier for you.

In addition to an information event by the Dean of Studies and a tour of the campus, our higher-semester students will give you some tips on starting your studies and information on the Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering degree programmes.
At the subsequent barbecue, you will have the opportunity to get to know future fellow students better.
OLAT course with tips and tricks
Via this OLAT course we distribute links, tips and tricks and offer a platform for an initial exchange with each other, with tutors and mentors. You are also welcome to use the chat and the forum. This online course is constantly being expanded.

Buddies help you start your studies
The campus tours are conducted by higher semester students who will give you valuable tips on starting your studies. You will also be divided into groups via OLAT with the opportunity to exchange ideas within these groups, but also across groups, and to meet up during the semester.
Mentoring programme
Starting in October 2022, the faculty launched a mentoring programme. Professors work as mentors in this programme. They will invite you to one or two activities during the first two semesters and will be available as a contact person for problems and questions.
