Training Facilities

Our department has an interpreting training centre which can accomodate a total of 14 people in 7 booths.

The PC workstations in the department's two computer labs, a PC room on the 4th floor (12 + 1 PCs) and a PC room on the 3rd floor (30 +1 PCs), as well as in the library (8 PCs) are freely available to students during opening hours. There are also several PC labs available in the main building. Members of the department can use the multimedia PC labs, which can accomodate a total of 130 people, or/and the video studio of the Faculty of Humanities in the main university building.

The above-mentioned up-to-date software packages, particularly in the field of computer-aided and machine translation, ensure that modern technologies are integrated into our degree programmes. In addition, a scanner for text recognition, comprehensive internet access (wired on all devices as well as WiFI) and an up-to-date selection of general software are available. Printers and scanners for students are located in the library.
