Accreditation
The Technische Versuchs- und Forschungsanstalt (TVFA) Innsbruck has been operating as an accredited test centre in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025 since 10 December 2008.
Accreditation is the formal recognition by a national accreditation body that a conformity assessment body fulfils the applicable qualification and equipment requirements and is therefore considered "competent".
In accordance with the Accreditation Act (AkkG), the Austrian Accreditation Body is the Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs. He/she has entrusted the organisational unit IV-5 "Accreditation Austria" with this task. Accreditation Austria is a member of the relevant international accreditation umbrella organisations.
