BioKasEn - Cascade utilisation of biowaste through lactate extraction prior to fermentation, taking energy efficiency into account

Content:

The cascading utilisation of biogenic residues efficiently produces secondary raw materials and energy sources. The solid residues are fermented and the liquid phase is used to generate lactic acid, which is used for the production of PLA and other bioproducts (e.g. biofuel additives). The aim is to assess the energetic impact on the fermentation and production of renewable energy (biogas).
