E02 EnerAlp II - Subproject B: "AraFerm" - Energy-autonomous wastewater treatment plant infrastructure
Funding:
This project is being carried out in cooperation with the "alpS - Centre for Climate Change Adaptation" and is therefore funded by the COMET programme of the BMVIT (Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology) and the BMWFJ (Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth), which is managed and processed by the FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency). In addition, the federal states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg are supporting this project with state co-financing.
Funding period: 04/2014 - 03/2017
Content:
- Determination of the degradation behaviour and energy content of fermentation residues
- Creation of material balances
- Comparison of the performance of different fermentation substrates
- Determination of the composition of digestate
- Determination of the framework conditions for further sewage sludge degradation
- Investigation of microbial communities
- Creation of material balances
- Impurities
- Quantification of impurities in co-substrates
- Description of the behaviour of impurities in the anaerobic digestion plant
- Evaluation of separation technologies
- Quantification of impurities in co-substrates
