FAQs on the reservation of reading places
How do I reserve a reading place?
- After registering, you will receive an email with the link to your reservation board.
- There you can book appointments and view the free seating capacities of all reading rooms.
- 14 reservations per person are possible for 7 days in advance , 2 timeslots per day.
- If a location is fully booked, you can put your name on the waiting list: If a seat becomes available, you will be notified by email.
- You can also check in on site, subject to availability.
What is the admission procedure?
- Check in with your library card or QR code on site at the self-service point or ask at the counter.
- If you have not made a reservation and seats are available, you can choose a seat at the self-service point.
- When leaving the library, you should check out, either at the self-service point or via your reservation board.
How can I deregister if I do not need the reading space after all?
- You can cancel reservations online, by phone +43 512 507 2410 or by email to ulb-kundenservice@uibk.ac.at up to one hour before opening.
- Reserved but unused places will be released / cancelled after half an hour.
- For each unclaimed reservation you can book one less appointment in the next 21 days.
Will my data be saved?
The university processes your data on the basis of legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Your data will be treated as strictly confidential and automatically deleted after 3 weeks.
