Julia Möseneder received her Maga in English and American Studies from the University of Innsbruck writing on the anti-hero's journey in Lost Generation literature. She is currently working on her PhD thesis "Narrating a New Normal. Transgressive Behavior in Contemporary US Television," which combines the concept of transgression with narratological structures found in serial television narrative. Her research interests include anti-heroes and anti-heroines, moral philosophy, and anarcho-primitivism. In the course of a introduction to American Literature and Culture Class at the American Studies Department at the University of Innsbruck, 50 students had a chance to listen to Maga Möseneder talk about her research, and through that get an insight into academic work and skills necessary. The also got a chance to ask a young researcher questions, which is a unique experience for student in their early studies. The ACI gladly offered that opportunity together with the American Studies Department under Prof. Klarer.
