Research Paper Guidelines for CADS 2024

The following guidelines should be followed for the presentation of research papers at the conference:

  • All research papers must be delivered in person.
  • All panels will be moderated by an expert in the field – see the academic programme.
  • Panel presentations will consist of an 18–20-minute talk followed by 8-10 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • The presentation file must be brought by the presenter on a USB stick and should be handed to the moderator before the start of the panel.
  • To avoid technical problems, the presentation should be in either PowerPoint or PDF format.
  • It is not possible to stream or record presentations for an online audience.

Including all relevant information:

In addition to the title, author(s) and affiliated institutions, the CADS2024 logo should be included on all presentations.  

Formatting guidelines:

  • It is advised that only one or two fonts be used.
  • Suggested font size ranges for different sections of the presentation:
    • presentation title(s): 48–80 pts 
    • headings: 36–40 pts
    • body text: 18–24 pts
    • figure captions: 14–18 pts

Poster Guidelines for CADS 2024

The following guidelines should be followed for posters at the conference:

Size and orientation:

Poster size should follow the DIN A1 standard (841x594mm). Posters may be oriented in either landscape or portrait format and may be divided into multiple columns as needed. 

Including all relevant information:

In addition to the title, author(s) and affiliated institutions, the CADS 2024 logo should be included on all posters presented.  

Formatting guidelines:

  • It is advised that only one or two fonts be used.
  • Suggested font size ranges for different sections of the poster:
    • poster title: <80 pts 
    • author name(s): 54–60 pts
    • headings: 36–40 pts
    • body text: 24–32 pts
    • figure captions: ~18 pts

Printing in Innsbruck

If you would prefer to print your poster at the conference venue, please contact the Studia Copyshop HSU:

For A1 posters, there are two paper backgrounds available: semi-gloss and matt, which are charged as follows: 6 EUR (semi-gloss); 9 EUR (matt).

Note: For timely printing, we recommend you contact the Studia copyshop at least one week in advance. It is imperative that you supply a PDF file in the correct format (A1), all other files will not be accepted. If alternative paper styles are required, additional time may be needed for off-site printing and shipping.
