Doctoral workshop alongside the annual meeting of the German Finance Association on September 30th, 2021, University of Innsbruck
Dear members,
the German Finance Association will again be holding a workshop for advanced doctoral students alongside its upcoming conference at the University of Innsbruck. This one-day event on Thursday, September 30, 2021, offers doctoral students the opportunity to present their research and to discuss its content and methodology with leading representatives of the field. To allocate sufficient time for presentation and discussion we will accept a maximum of 8 doctoral students. All participants will receive a confirmation of participation.
The participating faculty members are (subject to change):

„Application DGF Doctoral Workshop 2021“
The application must include (as a pdf file) one paper that will be part of the dissertation. PhD students who do not write a cumulative dissertation may instead submit a three- to five-page summary of the dissertation project. Topics include the main areas of modern finance, such as corporate finance, asset pricing, derivatives, market microstructure, international finance and financial intermediation.
The deadline for applications is June 30, 2021!
Furthermore, the following information is required in the mail text (no further cover letter is required):
- Name and address of the applicant (including e-mail)
- Name and address of the supervisor (including e-mail)
- Subject of the dissertation
The Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (Wissenschaftsförderung der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe e. V.) donates a best PhD student paper Award worth €1,000. The prize is awarded for the best presentation during the PhD workshop. The award will be presented during the main conference.
We would like to ask you to forward this call for applications to your PhD students and hope to receive numerous applications. Several PhD students of the same supervisor may apply. However, a maximum of one doctoral student per supervisor can participate.
