The planetary mill Pulverisette 7 classic line (FRITSCH) is ideally suited for fast, uniform and fine grinding of hard, soft, brittle, tough and moist materials. The comminution of the material takes place primarily through the high-energy impact of grinding balls in rotating grinding bowls (12 mL volume). The grinding can be performed dry or in suspension. The maximum adjustable rotation speed is 800 rpm.

In addition to comminution, the planetary ball mill can be utilized for mixing and homogenising of emulsions and pastes or for mechanical alloying and activation in materials research.
