Infrared spectroscopy
Room: L.01.041
Infrared absorption spectroscopy detects vibrational frequencies corresponding to normal modes and bond types of molecules.
Apparatus:
Bruker ALPHA FT-IR Spectrometer with Platinum ATR sampling module. This configuration facilitates Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy based on attenuated total reflection, the latter accomplished by a single reflection diamond. The Platinum module is suitable for liquids and solids; the spectral range is 7500 cm-1 to 360 cm-1.
