Born in Kitzbühel, Gülten has been working as a administrative assistant for the Architectural Theory working group at the Institute for Architectural Theory and Building History since 2018. She assists the Institute's department head with the coordination and management of administrative procedures.
Academically, at the Leopold-Franzens University, she pursued her two passions: Architecture and Religion. She completed her Bachelor thesis in Architecture, "Understanding Haus-Rucker-Co“, under the supervision of Prof. Bart Lootsma, where she compared projects and objects of the Austrian architectural group Haus-Rucker-Co from the 1960s and 1970s with the media theories of Marshall McLuhan. She also completed a Bachelor thesis in Islamic Religious Education, supervised by Univ. Prof. Dr. phil. Abdullah Takim, in which she explored the topic of religious plurality from the perspective of Islamic theology. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Religious Education.
