As every year, the Austrian Association of Molecular Life Sciences and Biotechnology (ÖGMBT) has launched the competition for the „Life Sciences Awards Austria 2024“!

Life Science Research Awards Austria supported by the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy (BMAW)

· Excellence & Societal Impact (1 Prize à € 3.000.-)
Life Science PhD Awards Austria supported by Polymun Scientific und THP Medical Products

Moreover, the awardees have the unique chance to present their prize-winning-work at the 16th ÖGMBT Annual Meeting in front of the who-is-who of the Austrian Life Sciences scene.

1. Life Sciences Career Fair LSCF24: On May 28, 2024, the career fair for Life Sciences in Austria will take place at FH Campus Wien. Employers from industry and academia, as well as career experts, will be present to provide comprehensive information to participants. Highlights include the Talent Pool, Employer Pitches, Career Workshops, and CV Feedback. Free registration is now open online! 2. 16th ÖGMBT Annual Meeting: From September 17 to 19, 2024, the annual meeting will be held in Graz under the theme "Life Sciences – tackling the challenges of the 21st century." Microorganisms, biotechnology and medical research will be the focus of this scientific conference – 16 scientific sessions & specials for young scientists. 3. Life Sciences Research and PhD Awards Austria 2024: ÖGMBT is once again awarding prestigious prizes for the best scientific work. Winners will be honored at the ÖGMBT Annual Meeting and will have the opportunity to present their research to a wide audience. More information can be found at:

4. miCROPe: The international symposium Microbe-assisted Crop Production – opportunities, challenges and needs is again taking place in Vienna July 15 to 18, 2024. miCROPe2024 aims to bridge basic understanding with real-world challenges and explore new trends in leveraging microbiomes for plant production.
