Kurzentwerfen 2- Winter 2023
AG Kurzentwerfen 2
Ramification
Branching geometries, often found in nature and now harnessed in various design disciplines, offer a unique blend of aesthetics and functionality. In this course, we will explore the principles, techniques, and applications of branching systems, providing skills to create artifacts inspired by natural branching systems.
Course Instructors:
MSc. Hasan Hadi Abdulameer
Mohammad Hassan Saleh Tabari
Fereshteh Khojastehmehr
Learning Objective:
• Give the students the insight to think like an architect.
• Gain knowledge and experience in the design process through branching systems.
Methods and Learning Outcomes:
• Discussion on design approaches in architecture from 1992 until now to give students insight into the evaluation of the thinking and its impact.
• Defining the natural patterns with a focus on the L-System patterns.
• Applying branching patterns into spatial structures
